Jasmine Wolfe: Wolf -- another of my favorites. To that, in a bit.

The chief point:

CATS RULE!

How many ways do I love cats?

As a ten-year-old boy in the 1950s, I HATED "MIGHTY MOUSE"! I loved ALL THE CATS in the episodes, and HATED the cruelty of that tyrant, Mighty Mouse, towards cats.

Cats are thoughtful and deliberate and judicious and independent, and, quite frankly, they are generally handsome critters.

Cats are a real BOON to civilization, which is why the Egyptians held them sacred.

Some cats have been known to be attracted to the warmth from the body of persons facing death, and to have kept these bedridden very welcome, affectionate company.

A cat is affectionate without becoming too needy.

Cats DO love to be fed.

Each cat has her/his own, distinctive personality.

One regret I have is that Sam, my dear Siamese, could only make it to 19-1/2 years. Poor boy didn't have the strength to make those last six months to twenty. What a dear fellow. I still miss him, 20 years later.

Cats together interact in such intelligent, deliberative ways that is interesting to watch.

To see a cat with a nice coat and who is content and looks happy -- with moods -- is a very happy and lasting experience.

I remember even my first encounters with kitties during my toddlerhood more than 70 years ago.

Wolves: A great work is that of the wonderful concert-pianist, Hรฉlรจne Grimaud with her thousands of acres of wolf-preserve in upstate New York.

I LOVE wolves and have a soft spot for them:
